WoW!!! Two and 1/2 inches of rain fell again, last night. The yard can't hold much more water....
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket The retention pond for the subdivision is full and threatening to run over. The good thing about the rain is that the crabgrass can be picked right out of the lawn without too much trouble! The bad thing is the tomatoes and peppers are getting too wet and developing those black sunken spots. I do spray the calcium, but we need some sunny dry days.

Last month I planted a French Mix packet of greens. I don't know exactly what was in it, but we tried some the other day.

IT IS TERRIBLE!!! IT IS BITTER AND TASTES LIKE AN ASHTRAY!!!

Today, I am digging out the French and planting the good ol' American Burpee Mesclun mix.

Gosh, it looks like I better hurry. It looks like Zoey got that storm we had. I hope Carol gets some rain, too!!

  1. Maybe you'll need to include 'lake' or 'pond' or 'stream' to the basket of words from which your Garden's Name will come, Sissy! If you've had any Memphis Dreams, they might become reality.

    Good luck, kiddo!

  2. After seeing the news this morning I headed down to the lobby to log on and check up on you. It looks like you got too much rain but it looks like your safe!
