We picked this one!! Not because it was the fullest, or the tallest, we normally get a much taller one, but because it was the closest. You see, it was 14* and neither Jeff nor I have winter boots. Cass does, but her parents had three inches of snow in their gym shoes. That is one of the worst feelings in the world, I think!

Cass, looking like she's been a yankee, her whole life!

Dad? What are you doing??? Poor dad. He still needs boots!

We are all trying to get used to the cold. Even this dog, the hardiest, toughest animal I have ever known, says, "Throw another log on the fire!"

I miss having a real tree! I'm sure it will be beautiful.

Boots are a must and get good ones with room for two pairs of socks. But until you you get them try socks, cover with a bread wrapper, a second pair of socks and your feet should stay dry and a little warmer. When you get boots do this when it gets really cold. (Any thin plastic bag will work.)

I don't know what's with this weather. Here in Snowville we have a meager 5", but I'm not complaining.

  4. I hope Santa brings Dad some boots. The poor man must have been miserable out there without any!

Your tree looks great. I would not have walked in further in that cold either. :)

You will probably never get used to cold weather. I don't care much for it and I've lived in it most of my life. Inside wrapped in a quilt is where I like to spend November - March.
