You bought WHAT??!!

That was my reaction when J came home with this old lawnmower tractor thing. It is yellow and green and rusty and it won't start for me. It came with some attachments, but they are so rusted that I am afraid that they will fall apart in the garage. It is a beautiful day, so, of course, I am painting. It's ok, I am still fighting off the head cold or whatever, so I don't have a whole lot of ambition to go finish the leaves along the property line.

Not exactly a Cherry Red Corvette, but it will be good for the next lawn mower tractor thing we get!
I learned about enamel paint, too. I have never used anything but latex and today I used Rust Oleum, for obvious reasons. Quite a bit of difference. I bought a large brush and normally would wash the brush and store it, but I can't get any of this paint to come off with water! There is paint on the garage door, too. We haven't painted that door, yet, but I know one thing. I don't want it red!!

  1. It's probably too late for the brush now but they clean up easily with mineral spirits. It looks good - I love red. I still have both of my fuel tanks and the clothes poles to paint in the spring.

I'm glad blogger is cooperating again.

  2. I think you did a great job on painting it! I love the nice bright red but I agree with you, I don't think I'd like my garage door a red like that either! lol
