I sneak in chopped spinach into the ricotta layer. Anyway to get this family to eat more greens, I say!!

Lots of mozz, parm, and don't forget.....
Sausage Marinara!!!

The finished product. Sissy's Spinach Lasagna
Pass the pinot noir, please.

  1. Yummm I love lasagna but I've never made it this wauy...my boys always just prefered the hamburg meat and spaghetti sauce and cheddar/mozerella cheese in between the layers. Would love to try it your way...just for me:-)

I'll save this idea for a month from now. I would never have thought of adding spinach. The grill isn't buried under snow yet so I've convinced John he should grill every night, while he still can.

  3. Looks yummy! I've put spinach in mine before. I have not made lasagna in quite a while.

I once made a mashed potato/onion lasagna. I know it sounds strange, but it was really good.

Have to get to work. Have a great day, Sissy.

  4. Yummmm! I love spinach. Hubby won't eat Italian food, so I rarely make lasagna now that the kids are gone, but you've put the craving in my mind. I simply must make it during the winter...maybe sometime when the kids are coming.
    Great pictures!

  5. Thanks for the nice comments you left. You left them on a day when I am wondering why I do this job so they are doubly appreciated.

My garden club meetings are 35 minutes away when we meet at the church hall but since it is only once a month, that's not bad. Some meetings are held other places, like the one last night, so the time can vary. We don't meet in Jan or Feb. Dec is just a Christmas party. You only have to go when they have a program you are interested in. So sign up & check it out! It's worth the dues money just for the plant exchange alone. Even if they don't have a formal plant exchange they'll have members willing to share. Just don't volunteer to do anything right away :)
