Couple of Classics

 A Bluish Mophead Hydrangea
A perfect hot pink (supposed to be red!) rose.
 Not red, not really....
The raindrops looked like tiny diamonds in the web

Crash hot potatoes. Absoltuely incredible!
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add in as many potatoes as you wish to make and cook them until they are fork-tender.
On a sheet pan, generously drizzle olive oil. Place tender potatoes on the cookie sheet leaving plenty of room between each potato. With a potato masher, gently press down each potato until it slightly mashes, rotate the potato masher 90 degrees and mash again. Brush the tops of each crushed potato generously with more olive oil.
Bake in a 450 degree oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. . Sprinkle potatoes with kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper and fresh chopped rosemary (or chives or thyme or whatever herb you have available.) Add sour cream and chives and bacon to your heart's content

Thank me later!

  2. Aren't those raindrops on the web amazing? Such complex architecture being built without human effort, right under our noses.

Love the hydrangea bloom, wish I could get one to open before the deer see it.

  3. Cool diamonds on the web!

I saw those potaotes on Pinterest. They appear to be smashed potatoes with sour cream. They do look good.

  4. Nice pics Sissy! I envy you being able to grow hydrangeas. The bunnies eat them to death here.

Those potatoes look yummy, and sound easy to make - my kind of dish!

  14. Love your hydrangea bloom--I can never get mine to turn blue. And spiderwebs are works of art, aren't they?

I'd never heard of "crashed" potatoes before, but these sound yummy. Looks like a recipe my potato-loving family will love!
