From Space

This video really fascinated me. It shows the heating of the ground from July 13-July 21, as seen by the weather satellite 22,000 miles above the earth. It really reminds me of food coloring spreading in water!

I would take less red, if I could, thank you very much!

  1. Did you notice that Oregon was completely white? Probably not. But I did. We've had so much rain this year and only 3 days over 80 degrees. Such strange weather.

  2. Yikes. A visual is so much more impactful than a written report. Phew.

  3. My mom lives in Oregon and she keeps cracking jokes about living in the arctic~ I personally miss Hawaii!

  4. This looks downright scary! I know I'm tired of the heat and wish I were headed to see Daughter in Oregon today instead of three weeks from now.

But at least I've been staying inside in the A/C, so I shouldn't complain--I just read your last post. Sissy, you are lucky you got home okay! You must have been suffering from heat exhaustion, which isn't surprising if you were working outdoors. I hope you can cut back your work hours until it gets cooler--do take care!
