Sister Jean Kenny, Catholic nun and football prognosticator, has made her pick for Sunday's NFC Championship Game: Chicago Bears 27, New Orleans Saints 24.

"Isn't that something? Most of the time, 99.9% of the time, I'm for the Saints, but not this Sunday," Kenny says.

Kenny, 57, based in her hometown of Chicago, is a Bears fan. She says she puts that aside when she makes her picks. She correctly has picked the winners of 17 of the past 21 Super Bowls.

In the 1980s, a Chicago radio station heard about her passion for football and invited her to make picks on the air.

"I have to try to pick with (my) head and not my heart," Kenny says.

Her AFC pick is by the same score: Indianapolis Colts 27, New England Patriots 24.

"It's hard to go against (New England's) Bill Belichick, my favorite coach. I think he's the smartest coach. But I'm going to take both home teams."

  3. Sister Jean used to be heard on WGN radio giving her prognostications and she was incredibly accurate. Very interesting to know she's still in the news!

  6. Sister Jean got the teams right, anyway - even if the numbers were a little off! The Chicago members of my family are rejoicing today.
