The ABCs of Me
from Grace @ Gardening with Grace
Age: 46
Bed size: King, we are big and tall people.
Chore I dislike the most: Vacuuming
Dogs: Always welcome. Right now, only Gracie lives here, my Yorkie.
Essential start to my day: Strong coffee (Gardening with Grace didn't specify strong, but it must be, for me!)
Favorite color: Green. (same as Gardening with Grace!)
Gold or silver: Yes, please.
Height: 5' 11" at my tallest. Working to gain some of that back again!
Instrument I've played: none. I tried teaching myself piano, but other folks in the house went nuts. My son plays the piano, hubby plays guitar and trumpet and harmonica. Daughter plays sports!
Job title: Sales rep, customer service, bartender, waitress,
Kids: Son, 21 Daughter, 17
Live in: our house, population of which is slowly dwindling. sadly.
Most wanted: family dinners at home
Nickname: Sissy, but is it a nickname if everyone calls me that??
Oprah, yes or no: Who??
Pet peeves: Cheaters, phonies
Quote from a movie: You know, the ancient Egyptians had a beautiful belief about death.
When their souls got to the entrance to heaven, the guards asked two questions.
Their answers determined whether they were able to enter or not.
‘Have you found joy in your life?’
'Has your life brought joy to others?’
-The Bucket ListRight or left: Right, mostly
Shopping: Clothes, plants, and the dreaded grocery shopping. ugh
TV show: Hate regular tv. I only watch Bears, Cubs and Bulls and some college volleyball.
Underwear: The last time I purchased them too big. nothing worse.
Vegetables I hate: Eggplant, avocado, and zucchini
What makes you late: over sleeping and trying to find something to wear. Nobody believes me. I have nothing to wear!!!
X-ray: revealed a very crooked back!
Yummy food I make: oh gosh, when I take the time to cook, I am generally pretty successful.
Zoo animal: Brings out sympathy in me. They look so bored... I remember the polar bears in the Brookfield Zoo had worn a path, doing the same walk over and over, shaking his head back and forth. I don't think he wanted to, but found comfort in the same behavior in his boredom.

What a nice glimpse into your life.
ReplyDeleteI dislike shopping for clothes-so much so that sometimes it's YEARS in between. I NEVER have that problems with plants though!
:D
PS--get an electric piano with headphones---that's how I get some practise in. And yes, I SUCK at piano, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat an enjoyable glimspe into your life, Sissy. I thought Sissy was your name. Now I am wondering what your true name is. :)
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy getting to know a little more about the bloggers I read. I thought I was pretty tall, but you have me beat by a few inches. A great quote--words everyone could live by.
ReplyDeleteThis was fun to read.
ReplyDeleteI tried to teach myself piano too, two summers ago. I did do the electric keyboard and headphones, and I enjoyed learning. However, I find that at this point I just don't have enough time to put into it --I'd have to trade time with something else, and some things just don't give :-)
GREAT POST, Sissy girl! Thank you for the link! Underwear that's too big...been there, done that. You're 5'11"? You tower over me! No wonder you need a king sized bed. GREEN rules! :) Have a great weekend!
