Nick left today for camp, again...Another week and he will be home.
I made roast turkey for dinner, that's one of his favorites. Dad took him this time, so I started the bed sheets in the laundry and decided to plant the little shrubs that will go under the windows in the back yard.
I keep checking my phone, it used to ring all the time, in Memphis. It never rings, here. I sometimes go the whole day and the phone doesn't ring once...
Just a reminder that it's not like it used to be. It may never be like that again.

My little Pooh cannot take the gardening in the heat, like today. She was de-barked at her Puppymill, and they scarred her trachea. The scar tissue interferes with her breathing, so she can't cool herself properly. She really wants to be with me, so I bring her out and put her water in the shade, but she won't stay there. She has to be able to see me at all times, so she wanders around near my feet. Then, her throat closes up on her and she starts to cough and choke, so we come in...she really isn't much of a gardener, I think!!

Schatz looking ferocious!! YIKES!!

The Little Pooh looking ferocious!!

  1. Bed sheets in the laundry...
Oh, shoot! That reminded me that I did mine this morning and they are still sitting in the dryer.
Darn. Now I have to go make the bed.
Guess it's better to have remembered now than when I go to jump in tonight.

Even though Schatz looks furious, she's my baby and remember-she sleeps with a little white teddy bear.......
