Volleyball and Homecoming and Bears and....

Yesterday was homecoming. My boy looked so good! His date was a girl we had never met before, so I was real anxious about her and her parents coming over...I had the volleyball tourny all day Saturday and Nick announced at noon that he invited them over for 3....I told him he had best start dusting.
Hannah and Nick!!

It is amazing to me, I bought Nick's shirt without ever seeing Hannah's dress. Look at her sash and look at the color of his shirt!!

He is kinda nuts about his hair, but he agreed not to cut it until after the play. He has a major role in the high school fall drama, coming up this Thursday-Saturday.
Jeff invited his boss and his wife over for the Friday night showing. Here's a question for you...
What do you make when the boss is coming to dinner???

The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940
The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 is an ingenious and wildly comic romp which enjoyed a long, critically hailed run both on and off-Broadway. Poking antic fun at the more ridiculous aspects of "show biz" and the corny thrillers of Hollywood's heydey, the play is a non-stop barrage of laughter as those assembled (or at least who aren't killed off) untangle the mystery of the Stage Door Slasher.
That's the blurb about the high school's play....Nick has been practicing every day for 3 hours since August. It hasn't been easy, but he's very confident. We moved here last year, in the middle of the year. He moved right in and became part of the drama and speech teams and has been doing quite well.
He's had a little bump with his grades, but it seems to happen every year, in the beginning of the year...

Tomorrow, the Market Day comes in and we have a soccer game. That's it??!! Surely there must be something else?? Well, I am going to start on the menu for the Friday night, when the boss comes over, and washing the kitchen windows.
I am leaning toward a Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin with Autumn Root Veggies. Maybe I should serve wine. I love a fruity white, but should pry serve a Cabernet...
Hey, Pam!! You should leave a comment about the wine you would serve, girl!! The image “http://www.webslingerz.com/jhoffman/images/chcat2.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

  2. They are a cute couple. Why do girls this age always look so much older than they are?

I never had the boss to dinner. Co-workers usually came for bbq and beer, but it sounds like you have it well planned. I usually serve a white wine with pork.

  3. I guess it depends on the kind of boss he/she is as to what you make. I know a couple of bosses I would happily have served dog food too. If your food tastes as good as it looks I'm sure the boss will enjoy whatever he/she has. I just put on 2 pounds looking at it!

  4. It does not qualify as a back row attack when a back row player is behind the attack line, hits the ball and the ball passes over the net's plane or when a back row player, from any place on the court, hits the ball while it is below the net's height and the ball passes over the net's plane. https://www.recreationtipsy.com
